Well, I am Jackie's mother in law; so I guess you have something in common.
As far as bassets being a special breed, I would never have had 3 at once if I didn't agree. We purchased Zoe and Chloe when they were both 6 wk. old. The other 2 we got from rescues.
When we left Canton, we moved into a much smaller place and had to find homes for Casey and Katie.
Chloe was hit by a car when she was about a yr. old and that was when we got Casey(too much information????)
Zoe howls mostly when she is asleep now. She has mellowed out a lot as she got older. She is OK with being alone now. Casey could not be left alone or she would get destructive. Once she chewed up my entire basket collection.
