Ice cream may aid fertility for some.

In other news:
:: Work has been really busy lately. I'm looking forward to my day off on Friday. The house is less than tidy to stay the least. My attitude during the day for some reason is greatly affected by the order in which my house is in. I can't stop thinking about the clean unfolded heap of laundry that has taken residence on our guest bed. But, who wants to fold laundry when they get home at 7 o'clock at night? Not me.
:: My sweet Mom sent me a surprise in the mail yesterday. If you'll remember from a few posts ago, I check the porch for packages everyday and yesterday there was one! Mom sent me a lovely card and her new book! Hurray! I love surprises.
:: I’ve started a new craft project. I’m trying to crochet a blanket. So far, so good. Molly is old enough now that she doesn’t try to eat the yarn, so I can do it while watching TV.
:: What did you think of American Idol last night? I think the boys did scads better. I really like Blake. I’m looking forward to the girls singing tonight!

Cupcake.....you'll always be on my mind...
Friday, February 23, 2007
I had the girls (and Elliot) over to make cupcakes today at church. We are kicking off spring a little early this Sunday at church with our flower power cupcakes...how darling.
Here are a few pictures of our culinary masterpieces:
Start with this....then
Add these...
And you get this! How cute!
Speaking of cute....Little Elliot managed this baking project from his chair. He is unavailable for comment at this time.

6 Weird things about me...
Tuesday, February 20, 2007
I've been tagged.
- I hate wearing socks. I can barely make it through the day with them on. If you open my purse...you'll find a pair from last week. My toes are smoking... In conjunction - I cannot get to sleep if my feet are "in" the covers.
- My feet have to be "out" of the covers in order for me to fall asleep, but when I make the bed I always military fold the sheets...tuck, fold, tuck, tuck. Hmm...
- I really don't like hot coffee. Ice coffee however is my beloved.
- I constantly look up people from High School because I want to see what they are doing, who they married, etc.
- I check for a package on the porch every single day even though I never order anything online.
- I love the smell of tennis balls.
I tag: Kelly, Jackie and Tulipgirl

Titus 2
Sunday, February 18, 2007
I did it. I made a whole skirt. Well, with her help....(yes, she is 11, but she is a wiz on the sewing machine - she put most of us to shame).
Here I am with my new creation (not the best picture, but you get the idea).
Next month is knitting which is a little more in my comfort zone.
More pictures here!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Wednesday, February 14, 2007
I got the day off today because of the Nor’easter that's dumping snow all over New England.
Andy had to go into work today, but was released at noon.
We spent the afternoon watching Broken Trail. It’s a western staring Robert Duvall. There were a few parts where the fast forward button came in handy, but overall it was a good movie.
We planned on going to Anjon’s tonight, but because of the weather situation we ended up staying in. Andy made General Gau cashew chicken with white rice, salad and stuffed mushrooms. I’ll admit I was nervous, but it came out really well. I have it good.
A little later tonight (probably while American Idol is on) were going to have strawberry fondue. How romantic…
Here are a few pictures:
I made valentine cupcakes!
He cooks! Who knew? Not I.

Nothing Much
Monday, February 12, 2007
- We had a great, uneventful weekend.
- We ate here with friends on Satuday night. It was delicious. I'm going again tomorrow for Girl's Night Out. Following dinner....manicures and/or pedicures. How fun!
- We watched Flicka last weekend - what a great, wholesome movie. Not award winning, but a decent movie.
- Andy bought this a few weeks ago. I didn't want him to spend them money, but I have to say I WAS WRONG - my teeth are shades whiter and feel like I just stepped out of the dentist office every day. Best purchase ever!
- I made homemade pizza last night. And when I mean homemade, I mean I bought premade dough from the deli and stetched it, and decorated it with pepperoni (pre-sliced - and only on 1/2...I detest pepperoni), cheese and mushrooms. It was delicious. Even Andy ate it (which says a lot).
- My friend Kelly stopped by work this morning with this book. I read the two chapters during my lunch break and i'm hooked. Now I just want to go home and read for the afternoon...if only.
- Valentines Day is this Wednesday. We can't decided whether to go out or stay in. What are you doing?

Book Day
Friday, February 09, 2007
Andy and I went to Borders last night. We usually spend some serious cash there, and yesterday was no exception... (we love books!)
Ok here is what we came home with....
Me:
1. For Women Only (everyone I know loves this book - I had to see what all the fuss was about).
2. The Screwtape Letters (we are discussing this at a bookclub in a few weeks).
3. On Becoming Babywise (I know, I know we don't have kids yet, but we want to be prepared! And its also a good chance for Andy to brush up on the basics because he's never even held a baby - this will also change soon...we are babysitting for him a few weeks).
I knew this book was a little controversial, but the heavy sigh I got from the Borders employee concerned me. Has anyone else ever read this book? So far - I don't disagree with anything, although i'm only on chapter three.
Andy got these books....he's a big Yancey fan.
1. The Bible Jesus Read
2. In the Likeness of God (updated version of his favorite book - Fearfully and Wonderfully Made).
Now...if we only have time to read these books! We have youth group tonight. Then tomorrow we are going up to Topsham to visit with his Mom. Then I have to go to Joanns to get an A-Line Skirt pattern and Fabric for next weekend - Titus 2 starts on the 17th! I'm so excited!

I'm not feeling well today. I was up sick most of the night. I'm not sure if i'm getting the flu or if I'm not tolerating the antibiotic i'm on for my tooth. Either way, I feel horrible and might go home early...
My parents got 16" of snow last night. My Mom called this morning and said the roads had not been plowed yet, and that she had no way to get to work. I told her to take the snowmobile. :)

Wisdom at a premium
Tuesday, February 06, 2007
I have an appointment next week with an oral surgeon. I have to get all four wisdom teeth extracted 23 days from now. My dentist put me on antibiotics last week because I have an infected tooth. I’m really nervous. I’ve never been a fan of needles, shallow holes in my mouth or anesthesia.
To calm my fears, or rather increase them exponentially my surgeon e-mailed me a video clip titled “What will happen on Surgery Day”. If you were able to rent this video at Blockbuster, it would be filled under the “horror” section to be sure.
Nothing else new to report…
Andy and I have been busy with church activities and meetings, meetings, meetings. We are really looking forward to having a nice relaxing weekend. We may go here again. We went there last Saturday for date night, and it was so good I can’t stop talking about it.

I made a baby shower invite. It's not exactly like below, but I cannot find a bear punch anywhere. What do you think?
I'm unsure. Andy doesn't like them.
